The Foundation
The Foundation
Founded in June 2019, Enter the C.A.V.E. (Community Action Volunteer Experience) was created in response to a growing need for structured youth development, mentorship, and leadership opportunities in Florence and the Pee Dee region.
What began as a vision to create safe, empowering spaces for young people has grown into a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to equipping youth with the skills, confidence, and support they need to thrive. Recognizing that many young people lack access to consistent mentorship and practical life skills training, C.A.V.E. was established to bridge that gap — providing programs that nurture both character and competence.
Since its founding, C.A.V.E. has served youth and families through hands-on programs, volunteer initiatives, and community events that strengthen both individuals and the region as a whole.

Our Founder
Kimberly Wilson is the Founder of Enter the C.A.V.E. and the visionary behind its mission to empower youth and uplift underserved communities.
With a strong passion for youth development, entrepreneurship, and community advocacy, Kimberly established C.A.V.E. to create safe, structured environments where young people can grow in confidence, leadership, and purpose. She recognized the importance of providing not only mentorship, but also practical opportunities that allow youth to develop life skills, creativity, and business acumen.
In addition to founding Enter the C.A.V.E., Kimberly is an entrepreneur and community leader, known for supporting youth initiatives such as organizing the Pee Dee’s first annual Children’s Business Fair — an event designed to cultivate young entrepreneurs and encourage economic empowerment.
Her leadership continues to shape the direction of the organization, ensuring that C.A.V.E. remains rooted in service, integrity, and sustainable community impact.
