Empowering Youth. Strengthening Families. Transforming Communities.
Since 2019, Enter the C.A.V.E. has equipped young people across Florence and the Pee Dee region with leadership development, mentorship, and practical life skills that prepare them for lifelong success.
Enter the C.A.V.E. (Community Action Volunteer Experience) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and uplifting underserved communities.
Through mentorship, entrepreneurship exposure, volunteer engagement, and hands-on programming, we help young people build confidence, resilience, and purpose — while strengthening the families and neighborhoods around them.
Since our founding in 2019, C.A.V.E. has:
Provided structured youth development programs
Hosted community-centered events and service initiatives
Supported families through engagement and mentorship
Encouraged young entrepreneurs and creative leaders
Every initiative is designed to create lasting impact — not just momentary inspiration.
Many youth in our region lack access to consistent mentorship, entrepreneurial exposure, and structured development opportunities.
Enter the C.A.V.E. exists to bridge that gap.
We believe when young people are equipped with the right tools, guidance, and opportunities, they become confident leaders who positively impact their families and communities for generations.
By facilitating these "tough Conversations", we ensure that the voices of the community are not just heard but are used to narrate a new story for the city of Florence.
The Plate & Play Initiative is a community-centered program designed to transform the critical after-school hours between 4 PM and 6 PM into a time of opportunity, mentorship, and growth. In partnership with 11-year-old entrepreneur Talena of Talena’s Golden Grill and Piece of Cake Entertainment, this initiative brings food, mentorship, and enrichment directly into neighborhoods through a mobile outreach model.
By combining nutrition, safe gathering spaces, and hands-on learning, the program provides youth with access to social-emotional development, mentorship, and exposure to future-focused skills such as STEM and workforce readiness. The initiative not only addresses immediate community needs but also creates pathways for young people to build confidence, leadership, and positive peer connections.
Piece of Cake Entertainment is a community-focused organization dedicated to creating engaging experiences that uplift and empower the next generation. Through a dynamic blend of music, interactive programming, and high-energy events, we transform any environment into a welcoming space where young people can build authentic relationships, express their creativity, and develop unshakable confidence.
As the foundational partner in the Plate & Play Initiative, Piece of Cake Entertainment leads the charge in facilitating mentorship, community engagement, and structured enrichment. We are committed to reclaiming the critical after-school hours by providing youth with the positive guidance and safety they deserve.
Beyond the play, we believe in the power of the voice. Every month, Piece of Cake Entertainment will host Piece of Cake Conversations; a dedicated space for the "tough conversations" that drive real change. Led by Ms. Cupcake, these recorded sessions bring together a small, focused group of:
Students & Parents to share the lived reality of our neighborhoods.
Educational & Community Leaders to bridge the gap between policy and people.
Local Business Owners to invest in the future of our workforce.
